RIFF DELUXE

ONSDAG 110406:

Det blir tårta och kaffe till frukost även i dag... jisses.
Vi börjar med en ny låt idag. Det är en massa riffande och som gitarrist är det ju alltid lite extra skoj.
Jag spenderar förmiddagen åt att spela tufft och en timme efter lunch åt att spela mys. Det är bra med variation.  Jag lägger lite slaskbas också innan jag lämnar över till mattias.

Matte sätter en touch på det och går sedan raskt över på nästa låt.
Där är det mattias tur att lägga det mesta i kompet. Han hinner nästan färdigt med sitt innan vi ger upp för dagen.

Det är skönt när det flyter på och nu börjar det låta riktigt bra.

GRATTIS MATTIAS!

TISDAG 110405:

I dag fyller mattias år... GRATTIS!!
Jag bakade en tårta igår som jag tar med mig hit till studion. När jag kommer hit får jag veta att Veronica också har bakat en tårta... jisses, det blir att rulla ifrån studion idag.
Han får presenter också. En bok och en båt. Kan det bli bättre?

Mattias hade med sig en present till oss andra i studion också. En Red Bull kyl med tillhörande dryck.

Trötthet = puts väck!

                          SLUTGÄSPAT!

Efter en mustig "frukost" och en test av present i Chris pool kör vi igång med nästa låt.
Det är en låt som föddes ur ett vackert plink som krille komponerat.
Vi snickrar och trixar tills vi är nöjd. det blir några timmar både före och efter lunch (sushi som chris bjöd på) men till slut så... Den blir tung. Det gillar vi.

Nu blir det en tårtbit till och sen blir det hemgång.

NY VECKA

MÅNDAG 110404:

Tillbaka i studion efter en hellugn helg!
Här ska manglas gitarrer hela veckan lång.

På förmiddagen har det varit möten o andra ärenden för alla så vi drar igång efter lunchen.
Vi börjar med att stränga om gitarrerna så dom låter fräsch, värmer upp Engel´n och sen är det bara att kicka.

                          MATTIAS BASAR!

Vi gör färdigt en låt med samtliga gitarrer och även lite slaskbas innan vi ger upp för dagen.

FREDAG 110401:

Jag tänkte skriva nått i stil med att tAKida lägger ner här...
men insåg snabbt att folk kanske inte alltid uppskattar ett dåligt 1:a aprilskämt.

Mattias och jag  är i studion tidigt för att byta strängar och göra oss redo för gitarrpålägg.
Vi letar rätt på de låtar som jag har lagt på men inte mattias och sätter igång.
Det är inga konstigheter och ganska snart ligger det en matta av ljud på dom låtarna också.

Det är fredag så vi unnar oss en lunch på birstabaren... riktigt god mat där.
Efter det blir det ett snabbt bad i poolen innan vi drar igång igen.
Vi lägger lite "slaskbas" och går igenom ett par andra låtar och justerar till några små ändringar.

Nä... nu är det helg.
Jag o Matte kommer att vara här hela nästa vecka också. Det ska bli kul.

TORSDAG

TORSDAG 110331:


Arbetet fortsätter.
3:e dagen i studion denna vecka och 3 låtar har spelats in (på trummor alltså).
Det känns bra. Idag är vi dessutom väldigt effektiva och det flyter på utav bara den.
Krille har lagt trummor på en hel låt innan lunch!

Efter lunchen sätter Krille en låt till + att vi lyssnar igenom det som spelats in i veckan samt tidigare alster och även om det är några små justeringar här och där så är vi väldigt nöjda med vad vi åstadkommit.
Efter arbetsdagens slut skjutsar jag krille till tåget och vi strängbändare fortsätter jobbet i studion i morgon.
Då är det fredag. skönt.

THE BURNING HEART

ONSDAG 110330:

Vi tar vid där vi avslutade igår och idag blir det lite kämpigare.
Det är ett parti i en låt som vi får jobba riktigt mycket med. Det viktigaste är att man hittar rätt feeling i det och detta parti saknar den speciella känslan tycker vi.
Vi sitter fram till lunch och testar många olika varianter och till slut hittar vi rätt!

Hursomhelst bryter vi av med lunch och ett dopp i poolen för att rensa huvudet.

                           BAD BOYS

Efter mat, dopp o bastu kliver vi in i studion igen och sätter trummorna som dom skall vara.
Det blev grymt bra.

Album titeln på den nya plattan offentliggörs också... den ska heta "THE BURNING HEART".
Nu vet ni det.

DEVILS CROSS

TISDAG 110329:

Krille fortsätter att piska trummorna.
Det flyter på väldigt bra och han är effektiv.
Vi stöter på några funderingar kring låtarna men tillsammans med Chris löser vi det mesta.

Veronica lagar stuvade makaroner och korv åt oss till lunch.... Hon är ju för söt.

På lunchen passar vi på att skruva upp belysning i sångbåset. Det är mattias som ligger bakom mästerverket och ja... detta borde väl sätta sin prägel på sången!?

                      SJUNGA SOM SATAN...

Vi fortsätter med trummorna efter lunchen och det svänger fint.
En låt till idag + att vi hinner börja kika på nästa låt lite granna.

BOXROOM RAIDERS

MÅNDAG 110328:

Med förra veckans effektiva låtproduktion känns det nu som att vi har tillräckligt många intressanta låtar för nästa album.
Jag vet inte exakt hur många låtar vi är uppe i nu men det torde vara runt 20. Av dom väljer vi ut en handfull av det vi tycker passar bäst ihop för just denna platta.

Så nu blir det ännu en vecka i Boxroom studion. Saker ska falla på plats.
Vi sätter igång med "robbans låt" från förra veckan. Det rullar på bra och innan dagen är slut har Krille lagt suveräna trummor på den låten. Duktig pojke.

3 in ONE DAY

TORSDAG 110325:

Sista dagen denna vecka i replokalen.
Vi startar lite senare än vanligt men öppnar (som vanligt) upp med lite kaffe och lite skitsnack innan vi drar igång repet.

Vi kikar på en låtidé som robban har. Det är en bra känsla i låten och jag tror att det kan bli riktigt bra.
Efter det tar vi en lunch på mittis innan vi återvänder till replokalen.
Väl tillbaka blir det lite pingis och mer kaffe innan vi ger oss på nästa låt.
Det är en av mina låtidéer. För er som inte redan vet det gillar jag riff. Denna låt har ett tungt (läs fränt) riff och jag tror att det lär bli töfft när det är klart.
Vi hinner till o med göra en 3:e låt också! Denna gång är det från en idé som pålle har.
Det är en del riffande i denna också och det bådar gott.

Vi avslutar en effektiv repdag med lite rundpingis. kul.
Till veckan blir det mer studiotid. ännu mera kul.

ONSDAG 110323:

In Ånge again.
Today and tomorrow we´ll put a few additional songs together. It´s better to have too many than too few you know...
Krille comes up with a smooth tune and we instantly begin to work with it.
At the end of the day it turns out a little bit diffrent than I first imagined it but... It sounds good!

FRIDAY ON MY MIND

FRIDAY 110311:

Friday again... nice.
Mattias is here today for support.  I continue with my guitars and first up today is the "waltz".
It´s a little bit diffrent but I like it. It´s cool.
The next song for me is the one we recorded in 2 versions. Nemas problemas.
I like this version with a new chorus and the guitars sounds really heavy.

That´s all we got time for.
Next week Mattias will be in the studio together with chris and I am going to Spain.

HELLBILLY

THURSDAY 110310:

Back from a day-off.
Me, Krille and Chris drinks a cup of coffee before we get to it.
We have to record a good take of the latest version of the last song from thuesday. No big deal.
I get a good feeling on this one now and it might be really really good when it´s done.

The next thing we record is the end of a song... Robert wrote a nice one with only guitar and vocals on all verses and choruses. Well except for the last one where the drums, bass and guitars come in.  Might be cool.

Lunch at the pizzashack.

After that we record drums to that hillbilly song I mentioned earlier.

Right about now, it´s time for me to get my guitars ready and lay down some heavy riffs.

Chris picks out a song for me and we´re at it.
It´s a pretty cool riff to this one and I need a couple of takes before I´m warm. However, once we got it flowing, it sounds really cool. Oh... is the clock that much already?
I give Krille a ride to the trainstation and we´ll continue tomorrow.

DAY 18

THUESDAY 110308:

New day, New track.
No big deal on this one either. A fast intro followed by a midtempo verse and a slow, heavy chorus.
Krille knows how it´s done.

The next one is a bit trickier.
Alot of tempo- and rythmchanges.
We record two versions of it so that we can listen and get a feeling to wich one is the bästgången.
It takes a couple of hours and at the end of the day, there´s still a few changes who needs to be done but we save those for thursday. We have a day-off tomorrow.

Now I need to sleep.

MONSTERS

MONDAY 110307:

Me and Kristoffer arrives to Mr.Chris and this week we´re supposed to lay down some nice drumbeats to a couple of the new tracks we made in the rehersalroom 2 weeks ago.

We start out with the "waltz" and to my great happiness, there´s less trouble than I first suspected.
A few adjustments later and we´re ready for a new song. However, since we started out pretty late we feel that the remaining energy is put on hold for tomorrow.

The remaining hours of the day is spent on eating a wonderful dinner and watching the worst movie ever!

                          DON´T SEE IT!

FRIDAY 110304:

The work continues.
This day is very similar to yesterday.
Robert takes on another new song today (the fourth one this week) Good work!!
Like yesterday, there´s no problem to sing even though it´s eraly in the morning.

Sounds good as usual and again I feel satisfied and excited about the new songs.
I feel pretty satisfied with Veronicas lunch also. Tikka Chicken with rice! Yummy. Thanx V.

MORNING VOICE

THURSDAY 110303:

Robert begins with a new song right away.
Usually it´s a bit tricky to get the voice working this early in the morning but that dosen´t stop Rob from great singing.
A couple of hours later it´s almost done but now we´re hungry so we leave for lunch at the pizzashack.

After lunch, it´s time for me, Tomas, to get to work.
I add som new guitars for a new solo-part and then I take Robert´s place in the songbooth to add some backing vocals.
We try out a couple of diffrent variants of melodies and pretty soon we got it like we want it.

I take Rob to the trainstation and we´ll be back tomorrow!

MASTERPIECE

WEDNESSDAY 110302:

Fredrik´s just got one more track to do so he begins hammering the bass right away.
Chris is a little tired today because of the "meeting" yesterday so everything is set to a much lower volume for some reason...

                Allergic to fur and loud noises!

We eat pizza for lunch and I must say that even though the pizzashack is quite run down, the food is excellent!

Rob begins with a new song and immediately sets the tone. It´s a bit tricky to get the last chorus in place... it sounds good but we want it to lift even higher.

Can´t wait to see/hear what tomorrow brings!

Thuesday 110301:

Robert starts out with some additional vocals to yesterdays track. Sounds so good and I think this is going to be one of my favourites on the album!

Veronica makes a delicious lunch and later, Freddy checks in to continue his bassplaying.

I´m working on the albumcover and it begins to look hot!

Monday 110228:

This week it´s time for Fredrik and Robert to make miracles.
Fred picks up his black Music Man bassguitar for the first track. Sounds good.
He´s fast and the first song is ready in a blink of an eye.

           Why the sad face Freddy? You´re doin great!!

To the next song Fred wants to try another bassguitar, his Sandberg California. If the Music Man sounds good, this one sounds bloody amazing!!
Freddy is a good bassplayer and this song is also done lightningfast.

Lunch

                 Me and Freddy shoot some pool.

After the lunch and poolgame it´s time for Robert to lay down some vocaltracks.
It sounds great as usual and a couple of hours later, this first song is well on it´s way!

ROCK N ROLL

FRIDAY 110225:

So, a week has passed and we got 4 new songs (+ 1 old) ready... Good work!
We rehearse the 4 new songs for a couple of hours and then we leave for home.
It´s been a really good week in many ways and now we´re looking forward to the studio next week.
I´ll keep you updated with more info then.

THURSDAY 110224:

Hey... long time no see.... =)
Today I presented one of my strangest ideas for a takida-song.
It starts out with a soft riff as intro and verse followed by a heavy bridge, so far so good.
We take it back to the beginning again with soft verse, heavy bridge but then... the chorus... we played a hillbilly blues yesterday and today it´s.................. WALTZ!!!! Yes, that´s right.... waltz.
WHAT THE F**K! you might think right about now... but I guarantee it´s going to be awesome!

WEDNESDAY 110223:

We start out with rehearsing the first two songs. It sounds better now and it begins to shape up.
Later we try out a couple of new riffs but before we dig into it, lunch sounds better. =)
After lunch everybody is a bit tired and the lack of inspiration is a fact.
HOWEVER... we get a fuelinjection as we put a rock n roll/blues/hillbilly song together... probably not a albumtrack but it got us on our feet again.

2 NEW

THUESDAY 110222:

Today we started out earlier and by the end of the day we actually had 2 new songs!
Actually, one of them is a idea that we had for the last album but it really didn´t fit in there. Now it´s got new blood and I think it´s going to be awesome!

         Robert is presenting a new idea for an old song.

The other song is from one of pålles ideas. It´s another heavy one. A lot of the new shit is heavy.
Don´t worry... we´re still (and always will be) suckers for slow anthem-like 80´s-smelling rockballads too so... it´s still tAKiDA.

AT IT AGAIN...

MONDAY 110221

Hey we´re back!
We return to Ånge and our rehersal room for another week of creating.
We´ll spend a couple of days here and hopefully there will be a handful of new tracks ready at the end of the week.
It´s a soft start and we´re only at it for a couple of hours but we actually got a song ready.
It will probably face a few adjustments during the week but it´s a good start.

MONSTER

THUSDAY 110210:

Me and Mattias continue with guitar all day and in the end of the day I come to the conclusion that we have another dark monster in the bank.  It starts out with a heavy riff, followed up by fast guitars and a cool melody on top.   Everything is working just fine recording like this and it sounds really good already.

        Mattias is playing some heavy shit on his Gibson...

Chris wife makes an awesome lasagna for lunch today. It´s the best tasting one I´ve had so far. THANX.
Afterwards it´s back to business (and business is good).
When it comes to recording in the studio, chris is the greatest. He makes you feel relaxed and you get to try every idea even tough it might sound weird in the beginning. If we try it, we might like it. We love him for that (and for alot of other reasons).

             This guy´s wife makes the best lasagna.

We call it a day (week) and leave the studio for now. We´ll be back soon to WRECKORD some new stuff. See ya!!

BACK IN THE HOLE

SUNDAY 110123:

It´s been a while now and you might think we´re lazy... however... that´s not true.
We´ve been to the rehersalroom in Ånge to put some new songs together for example.
We also like those breaks with coffee and food. Here´s a picture to proove it!

MONDAY 110207:
Here we are! Back in the studio again.
Krille begins  his drumrecordings for the songs ment to be recorded this week. Sounds good.
We get a visit from our sweet manager Lord Kviman and together we make some evil plans how to conquer this planet.
On this picture, Tomas succesfully brought out the true face of our Manager.

TUESDAY 110208:
Still recording drums.... fat f---ing drums by the way!
Had a lunch at our "favourite" pizzaplace where we also met up with our sound and lightengineers.
Two guys from the best crew in the world. They follow us down to the studio to listen to a couple of new tracks.

            Goran (master of lights) seems to like it.


WEDNESDAY 110209:
Time for the stringbenders to get to work!
Mattias and Tomas is all over the guitars and makes it even more fat!
Tomas is using is grey schecter diamond for the dropped tunes and it sounds just great.

                   It makes your head spin.

We´re pretty sick of pizza and kebab now so today we actually make our own lunch.
Macaronies in white sauce with sausage is tasty. And it makes you tired too...

       Krille got tired and fell asleep on his drumkit.

Oh, yeah... I almost forgott.
We found the nicest note today at chris house...

          There´s no funny way to translate it so I won´t.

However, the note was about a coffeemaker anyway so... It kind of left a little to your imagination.
We´re giving up for today and leaving for home.

THURSDAY

We´re back and today we went over the latest 2 songs again.
There was a few adjustments made and now we have some time to kick back and get a feeling to it before it´s recording time.

There´s no new song today but the average of 1 song per day is already acheived so we´re pleased.

We got some cool t-shirts from Xzavier today! Check em out... they´re truly awesome.

2 MORE

Another day in the rehearsal room in Ånge.
We kickstart right away with the one track of the "first four" that wasn´t finished. (remember?)
We got it together and the result is really cool. Lots of attitude and energy. I like it!

(yes, we continuously eat healthy)

A not-so-nice cup of coffee and a couple of picturedisc signings later it´s time to pick up the axe and dig in with another song.

This second one is also cool. It´s a little bit diffrent from the first one but still energetic in it´s own way.
Confusing?? Not at all!!  =)

We´re done for today and we´ve been somewhat effective today I must say.

NEW SONGS

Today we got together in the rehearsal room for some songwriting.

We took one of Pålles ideas and worked with it for a couple of hours and POW...
that´s another song to the bank!

Every time I switch on my ENGL SOUVEREIGN I can´t help smiling.
That is one fat bastard right there! So small and yet so friggin powerful.
Try it... you might like it!

We´re back tomorrow and hopefully there´s another one coming!
